Food Festival at Barbeque Nation!

Barbeque Nation has always been synonymous with great food. To be honest, it was one of the reasons why I fell in love with big buffets and barbeques. It’s always a pleasure to go back here for endless variety of food, cheerful ambiance and a pleasant time overall.

When I was told that they were having a ”Dilli Wali Khau Galli” food festival, I was super excited to visit. After all, who can say ”No” to good food?

The menu was vast and impressive. There was barbeque-style appetizers, other appetizers, mocktails, main course, chaat counter, desserts and kulfi counter. Let me skip straight to it.

The ones I really loved were-
Crispy Corn: Crispy, spicy and so delicious. Once you start eating, you cannot stop. Had at least 4 servings of this!

Cajun Spiced Potato: It was very different. It was basically fried potato covered with a spicy sauce. The crispiness of the potato went perfectly with the masala of the sauce.

Grilled Pineapple: An all time favorite! Grilled pineapple, marinated with spices. The sweet and spicy mix is amazing!

Dilli ka Dhaba Murg Tikka: This one actually tasted like those spicy chicken kebabs you get in dhabas. The chicken was cooked to perfection and marinated with spices. Drool!

Golgappa: I can never refuse Golgappa. I gorged on multiple golgappas that had abundant filling and masaledaar pani.

Main Course:
Biriyani: Lalala! Biriyani always cheers me up. I can say that this Biriyani was milder than what I am usually used to. I like my Biriyani very spicy. But the sherwa served with this was spicy to compensate. Loved the sherwa!

Murgh Surkh Kada: Chicken in the creamiest gravy ever. This was also a great accompaniment to the Biriyani.

Jama Masjid Ki Shahi Tukda: Omg! So delicious. It was fried bread dipped in a sweet concoction. Couldn’t get enough of it.

Dark Cheesy Brown: Brownie stuffed with cream cheese. Chocolate and cream.. what a delightful combination!

Kulfi: Malai Kulfi topped with cream, gems and choco chips. It was the first time I was having malai kulfi with chocolate but I would not mind having it again! (They have 6 varieties of Kulfis.. wow!)

To add to the cheer, the staff even danced for some cool Bollywood numbers. We felt like joining in! Oh, there was live music as well.

Food, music, good ambiance and the company of my blogger friends. It was a perfect evening, indeed!
